Our Mission
After 31 days of Russian occupation, the small city of Trostyanets, Ukraine struggles to rebuild. Russian soldiers destroyed and looted most of the town's most important infrastructure. Additionally, several apartment complexes and hundreds of homes were badly damaged or even destroyed. Trostyanets Mayor, Yuri Bova, has met with Chattanooga Mayor, Tim Kelly, and pleaded for any help the citizens of Chattanooga have to offer. Trostyanets is in desperate need of generators as its power grid has been completely crippled by the ongoing war.

Residences
12 residential buildings, and 5 apartment complexes have been completely destroyed. Over 800 residential buildings and over 250 apartments have been badly damaged.

Medical Buildings
Trostyanets EMS and Obstetric building has been completely destroyed. The city hospital been catastrophically damaged and cannot function.

Railway Station
Trostyanets Railway Station was used as a Russian base of operations during the occupation. The building itself was damaged horribly and a number of railcars are no longer usable.

40th Army Square
The town square, serving as a memorial to Ukrainian troops who fought in World War 2 was also destroyed by Russians as it was adjacent to the Railway.

Forest Research Station
A historic 19th century museum of forestry has been bombed out by artillery. Although the building still stands, it housed historical scientific studies on the landscape of Trostyanets.

Library
The Soldatske village library was destroyed by enemy artillery. Soldatske village is a small community in the Troryanets region. The library primary housed children's books and served as a community center for the small village.

Kuts Stadium
Kuts Stadium houses the local soccer team F.C. Trostyanets. It houses track events, concerts, and other large community events. It also was a victim of Russian artillery and needs a full restoration.

Forest Farm
The Trostyanets Forest Farm cultivated crops in a highly controlled forest canopy environment. The building still stands but its interior has been largely destroyed and looted.

Mondelez Ukraine
Mondelez (Formely Kraft Foods) housed a factory in Trostyanets that served as the main employer for the Trostyanets region. The factory has been destroyed and its contents have been looted by Russian soldiers.

Everyone knows how essential electrical power is in our everyday lives. The citizens of Trostyanets have been robbed of this basic commodity. Without power, the people of Trostyanets cannot begin to rebuild what they have lost. More than this, they will struggle to survive the harsh Ukrainian winters to come.

Trostyanets Needs Chattanooga's Help To Not Only Rebuild, But to Survive.
The generators provided by the Chattanooga-Trostyanets initiative would address power outage in key areas of Trostyanets, such as:
Education
Trostyanets is home to 13 K-12 schools that have been left without power. The city hopes that generators would allow kids to return to school as soon as possible while reconstruction projects begin.
Medical Aid
The City now has a need for various shelters for those displaced by the Russian occupation. These shelters would provide humanitarian aid to the city's residents.
City Administration
Many of the City's most basic administration capabilities, such as wastewater, have been made impossible due to a lack of power.
